Two For Brazil

If you like Brazilian jazz and melodic improvisation, this CD is for you. Two For Brazil’s “Take Five” has a fresh, innovative approach to combining the best elements of American jazz and Brazilian samba and bossa nova. Truly unique.

About the Artist

TWO FOR BRAZIL IS BORN

Two For Brazil started from a tribute concert on given on June 10th, 1998 for two of Brazilian music’s greatest names: Joao Gilberto and Stan Getz.

Chicago Cultural Center’s Peter McDowell called on Paulinho to play a tribute to Joao Gilberto, and on Greg to play a tribute to Getz.

Even though Paulinho and Greg had never played together, the concert went very well and the idea of recording and performing together was a natural consequence. The name Two For Brazil came from the fact that most Brazilian music is written in 2/4 and that we are a duo dedicated to Brazilian musical format.
